Three teams of students from Curtner Elementary School (located at 275 Redwood Ave. in Milpitas) qualified to compete in Odyssey of the Mind’s World Finals.  Odyssey of the Mind has been in the education space for the past four decades. Currently located in the Great Mall parking lot, Imaginarium is an immersive light show experience that is not to be missed. Doug Sueoka is running for a seat on the Milpitas Unified School District’s (MUSD) Board of Education.  This will be Sueoka’s first ever run for office.  Back in late 2022, when former Board Trustee Hon Lien won a seat on the Milpitas City Council, her spot on MUSD’s Board of Education opened up. City of Milpitas to provide rental assistance to low-income residents & workers

The City of Milpitas has undertaken a new measure to provide rental assistance to the city’s low-income residents and workers. In partnership with an organization called FORWARD, known for working with local governments on program administration, the City has launched the City of Milpitas Workforce Housing Rental Assistance Program (WHRAP). As residents and workers face rising rents, the City shall provide $773,341 in Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) funding to support the WHRAP’s efforts.  Up to 50 recipients living or working within Milpitas city limits shall qualify. At last Tuesday’s meeting, the Milpitas City Council proclaimed March Endometriosis Awareness Month.  Endometriosis Awareness Month is widely observed in March each year to shed light on a common yet often misunderstood condition affecting 190 million women and girls worldwide. Subham Kundu started playing table tennis at the age of 6.  At the time, he lived in India with his family.  There was a table tennis club near his neighborhood, and his father took him there one day to watch kids and adults engage in various tournaments.  “The sound of the ball was amazing.
