This pic of 8" mudplugger tires seem to have a rounded contact patch, which I like. Everyone seems to like mud plugger tires but I don’t like the square look personally.
Does the square vs rounded patch on mud pluggers determined by the rim used with ..read more

I think were misunderstanding each other.
I would be using a bms and brick charger. The question is it okay to use a 12s bms for 2 * 6s lipos? I would make an adapter so that 13 wires (12s bms) would hook up to the 14 wires (7 per each 6s lipo).
On a completely separate note, I think im going to wait and save up for a 12s2p p42a anyway.
Thanks for the reply and good to hear from you, you gave me some advice back in 22 ..read more

I’ll weigh in a little since I’ve both built a custom battery and had a lipo fire (my drone batteries; not my custom built battery).
First, you do want to put out the fire quickly because lithium smoke does not smell nice. My fire happened when I was charging a lipo and I was rushing as i was travelling the next morning. Anyway, what saved me was a fireproof bag and by chance I had a fire alarm in the garage where i was charging. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have heard it and the nylon strap on the fireproof bag was on fire so it could have still burnt down the house.
There’s a few suppressants out t ..read more

All i need is a battery (see parts below).
Ideally I would go with a (12s2p lion)[12s2p P42A Battery Pack | Electric Skateboards Esk8 — MBoards], but I can’t afford it right now, so maybe a future upgrade. I built a 12s4p in the past, and although it was sound, I just always felt uneasy about it and would rather have a professionally made battery, so I ended up taking it apart and recycling a few years ago.
My goals with this rebuild is not to build a 100km/h board that can Cruz town all day (because that ended badly last time). I just want something mellow that can Cruz around idk 4-5km range ..read more

Hello,
I’m looking into upgrading the battery pack on my electric skateboard from 29v to 42v. After a quick google search I might be able to reuse my current ESC for this just by unsoldering a connection. My ESC looks similer to the cheap china ones but appears to be missing the batttery configuration pads. Has anyone got any experience with this motherboard and know where I can find them?
I have attatched a general photo of the board but can get close ups if required. (Edit: Website won’t let me upload images so I have uploaded to Imgur Imgur: The magic of the Internet)
Cheers, Jack ..read more
