The Wobbalies were cynical at the pointy end of proceedings. If the decision was technically correct, how is the decision defined as subjective? Statistics: Posted by morepork — Mon Sep 19, 2022 1:50 am ..read more

It has actually been bugging me that he gave the wrong punishment by immediately awarding a scrum. While the Kiwis would probably have opted for a scrum anyway if they'd been given a free kick, it bothers me that he's made such a dramatic and game-deciding decision and then got it wrong. It stiĺl feels like a harsh and unnecessary call to me - yes the Australians were fucking about and there is always the risk of finding out, but it wasn't a necessary call ..read more

Foley (and the Aussie forwards apparently) fucked around and found out. The Wallabies can wail and pull their hair and gnash their teeth and cry foul all they want, they've no one but themselves to blame. It's like the Argies the other week. The ABs weren't a team that was beyond their ability to beat, in the same way the Pumas weren't necessarily the better team than the All Blacks in Christchurch - it's just that the losing team got in their own way and paid the price for it. I thought it was due to start going back up as of next season. If not going up post world cup will make it tough for English clubs to make the most of the Southerners coming north and to keep hold of any English players who know they won't make the next world cup and who are being offered lucrative deals overseas. But they dominated most of the first half, Scarlets most of the second, so a draw is a reasonably fair result, even if the equalising try was massively against the momentum of the second half. Impressively nerveless conversion from Jack Walsh to clinch the draw! Overall, a promising match from a Wales perspective - lots of good performances. And Tips is back. Tips and North back playing is cause for celebration. Statistics: P ..read more

Hard to believe that 1/3rd of the league think that’s a good idea tbh. I’d guess Sarries, Exeter and Bristol would be 3 of the 4. Not sure who the other one would be. The cap was always going back up, it was agreed when the reduction in cap and change to marquee players was. No shock Bristol voted for this as they were against it going down in the first place.
