To those with ski tech experience ... Pardon my ignorance and if this has been covered elsewhere, I apologize!
I realize each case is different but, in general, if there have been base repairs (likely core shots) that have been professionally repaired, are those areas any more prone to further/repeat damage than the rest of the base material? Thanks for any input ..read more

3400 miles, 17 ski days, 9 resorts.
The idea started at the end of last season when my brother announced that he is retiring in February and that his wife has given the ok for a "go ahead, get-it-out-of-your-system" ski trip.
We pondered the options and we both liked the idea of a low-budget road trip, driving about the mountains of the west, taking in as many resorts as we can, finding budget lodging, brown bag lunches in the parking lot, etc. The Mountain Collective pass immediately...

Can’t find much information about this binding as it looks like a new product, but it’s on demo tracks.
Which gets me thinking. I have Elan Ripsticks with Protector bindings on a Tyrolia demo track. Theoretically, I could remove the Protectors from the demo track and put the Almonte 10 demo bindings on? Unless the Almonte used a completely different demo track, this seems like it would be possible.

With the passing of my mother, my sister and I have been pouring through, sorting, discarding, and just looking at photos and other memorabilia. A couple photos and some cool items. If your parents are still around make sure you find out about these things before it's too late. I knew parts of the stories but not all.

I'm 173cm tall / 185lbs+/- heavy. For carving I have a Fischer RC4 SC 165cm and a Rossi Hero Elite Plus 168cm, both of which I'm happy with.
I've always been interested in the "mid radius" carving skis like the Fischer RC4 CT, Head E Race, and Stockli WRT. Probably going to stick with Fischer as I've liked all their skis I've used/owned.
In the CT, the 170cm has a 15m radius and 170cm has a 15.5m radius, which doesn't seem like much difference to me. Is it just personal preference at that...

This is an out-of-left-field question - or perhaps out-of-left-brain - but I watched some videos on “grass skiing” and wonder if it would be helpful, harmful, or neither for alpine snow skiing technique.
