AC Milan have identified Chelsea defender Benoît Badiashile as a summer target.
Signed from AS Monaco in January 2023, he has struggled for game time in West London and is becoming increasingly frustrated at his situation with the West London club.
His situation has not been helped by injury – he was forced to miss the start of the season, whilst another knock means that he is currently sidelined.
Reports internally suggest that manager Mauricio Pochettino has little faith in Badiashile, who is a full French international, and that he may be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior will not be allowed to leave on loan in January.
The Polish international was signed from Spezia in January, but has struggled to establish himself at the Emirates, and remains a fringe player. And, when he has been used, it is often as a left-back, rather than in his preferred position of centre-back.
That has led to speculation that he could be set for a return to Serie A, with a number of Italian clubs, headed by AC Milan, interested in taking him on loan for the rest of the season.
However, all the indications coming out of the Emirates are that Arsenal ..read more

Talks about Italian midfielder Jorginho extending his contract at the Emirates have stalled.
The 31 year old was signed from Chelsea in the January transfer window, initially on an 18 month deal, although that did include the option to extend that by a further year.
Although Mikel Arteta is reported to be a big fan of Jorginho, he has only started four of the club’s Premier League games this season and, when everybody is fully fit, he is more likely regarded as a replacement from the bench.
The player himself has indicated his wish to return to Italy at some time, and, although he insists tha ..read more

They have been forced to consider going into the market after an injury to Marco Pellegrino, whom they only signed in the summer, but has now been sidelined by an ankle problem, and could be out for several months.
Kiwior himself was signed from Italian football last January, joining from Spezia ina deal worth ₤20 million. But the Polish international has largely been confined to the role of a bit part player under Mikel Arteta, and is not a regular starter.

Despite having Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella at their disposal, and having allowed Lewis Hall to leave on loan to Newcastle, Chelsea are still in the market for a left-back.
And reports in Italy suggest that the two names on their shopping list for January are Federico Dimarco, currently playing for Inter Milan, and Theo Hernandez, who plays for their neighbours AC.
Dimarco, who is 25, is the current left back for the Italian national side, and is a product of the youth system at Inter.
Hernandez, who has three times been named in the Serie team of the year, is a French international and wa ..read more

It has been a contrasting start to the season for either side on the domestic front. AC Milan have started the season on fire, while Newcastle needed the September international break at the time to strategize and organize themselves for the season ahead.

AC Milan kicked off the season with a comfortable 2-0 win over Bologna. Veteran striker Olivier Giroud played a part in bot ..read more

AC Milan are once more interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
They had begun talks over a move for him back in May, but they were shelved after they sacked Technical Director Paolo Maldini.
However, negotiations have resumed, and it now seems likely a matter of fee.
Chelsea are holding out for £20 million for the England international, whilst Milan value him close to £15 million.
There is confidence, though, on both sides that a deal can be done.
Loftus-Cheek has only got 12 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, and the club have already informed him they are h ..read more

Juventus are the favourites to sign Christian Pulisic this summer.
The 24 year old is among those set to depart Chelsea this summer, after another disappointing season blighted by injury and inconsistency.
In fact, that could largely sum up his career since arriving in West London from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2019.
Perhaps the final ignominy for the American was when he was booed on to the pitch by the club’s own fans when he came on to the pitch for the final Premier League game of the season at home to Newcastle.
Although Newcastle and Manchester United are among the clubs report ..read more

Although the 27 year old still has one year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, he is one of the players that they are hoping to move on as they look to trim their squad in order to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.
Milan are looking to rebuild after a disappointing season in the league, and their exit from the Champions league at the semi-final stage at the hands of their neighbours Inter.
