Note: This post warrants a foreword. This is NOT a sponsored post. I enjoy writing about companies and brands that are doing great work and Mattress to Door happens to be one of them. It's a relatively unknown brand but I want a lot more people, especially people in Ontario, to know about a company that works with you to ensure the best possible sleep by selecting the perfect mattress without breaking the bank, ALL OF THIS, from the convenience of your home. Having used their mattress for over two months, I got in touch with the company to know more about their history and philosophy  ..read more

As the clock struck 12 on Dec 31, 2019, and we entered a new decade, I made a promise to myself, that this would be the year.... the year I would work on myself. Be better. Mentally. Physically. Personally. Professionally. And to actually *try* to keep my promise to myself (I'm one of those who almost never keeps their new year resolutions) Jittery with excitement, 'A' and I moved to Toronto in Feb, when most of you were enjoying a cozy Valentine's Dinner, we were on the flight to our new home. A valentine's to remember for sure! We were welcomed with crisp winds and lots of snow and th ..read more

These are trying times, hope you’re all safe and healthy. I cannot fathom how we've come to this. Social distancing, working from home, and minimal interaction with anyone is the new normal. 2020 started on such a positive note! With promises of growth, health and happiness. But it hasn't turned out like that at all. Praying for an end to this current situation and while looking for ways to help, I came across Ripple Foundation. Those of you who know me know that I have always supported causes for empowerment of women and children, and welfare of doggies. When I came across&nb ..read more

Top 3 proven personalization strategies for an e-comm app

Over a cup of coffee this weekend, a friend asked me for my pick of top 3 personalization strategies for an e-commerce app. And as I sat there thinking about the ways internet giants like Grubhub, Alibaba, PostMates, Amazon and others have revolutionized experiential marketing in apps, I also realized, something else. It gets a little challenging  to keep up with the ever evolving e-comm marketplace as the content pieces around tech advances tend to be jargon heavy and hard to follow.  My attempt with this piece is to make it easy to read, not jargon heavy (so even my mum gets it ..read more

OMG! Mercedes Vs Jaguar. Best. Ad. Ever

Okay, so I don't know how I missed this one. It's quickly gone to my favorite advertisements of all time.  Couple of years ago, Mercedes had an advertisement featuring a chicken bobbing its head up and down to a Diana Ross number, used to illustrate the marque's Body Magic Control (suspension) system. This ad created a lot of social media buzz, and why not?! It was fun, with an upbeat 80's number, and a chicken being used to demonstrate something Mercedes had to offer! Who decides to step in? Jaguar North America. Hah. With a parody of their own, Jaguar Vs Chicken.  The vi ..read more

Under Armour (UA) recently launched its first ever marketing branding campaign. Just one word to describe it – Superb. UA is a company I’ve only very recently, started following, owing to A and my new fitness kick. We’ve loved their apparel and that storefront in Chicago is just gorg!! But I’d never really seen an all-out UA marketing campaign. I know they sponsor huge sporting events and I see their logo every time I sign into an online fitness journal, but this, a full blown marketing campaign - Amazing. The tagline:  'Rule Yourself' #mindblown The 60 second "Anthem" spot ..read more

Publicis Brazil, you guys need to take a bow! What a super new Heineken Ad, 'The Cliche'. With one super twist at the end, you managed to tackle prevalent gender stereotypes.  I for one, like watching soccer with A. I'm not a serious 'bring-out-the-crazies' fan but a casual fan, for sure. And I like the time spent together. I am partial to a team (that I won't name on here) and a few players, so yes, if it's any of the above, you will definitely find me right next to A, with game-food and drinks in tow. Sooo, when I started watching the ad, I was a little disappointed in Heineken a ..read more
