PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh police say they have arrested and charged a man who was already in jail with several burglaries last year in the city’s Mount Washington neighborhood. According to police, 33-year-old Jason Hoffman of Pittsburgh is charged with six counts of burglary and six counts of theft by unlawful taking. Police arrested Hoffman Monday at the Allegheny County Jail where authorities say he was already incarcerated on a separate burglary charge. An early morning water main break closed a major road in the South Hills and caused significant damage to at least one home. Pennsylvania American Water crews were dispatched to the break along Somerville Drive in Upper Saint Clair shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
