So far, so very good for Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham Hotspur side.
It just shows how quickly supporter expectation changes that, after a stunning start to life in the Premier League, a couple of poor results – clearly down to Spurs’ injury crisis – and there appears to be a whiff of disappointment in the air.
It’s so tight at the top of the Premier League, that the order of the top five could change multiple times during any given weekend depending on results.

The January transfer window can’t come soon enough for two Man United stars, both of whom have been sidelined by Erik ten Hag for what seems like an age.
Despite the Red Devils still struggling in Europe and only just putting a run together in the Premier League, the Dutchman has steadfastly refused to call upon the services of both Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek.
With regards to the former, ten Hag has been strong in his position that unless Sancho apologises to him, his backroom staff and his team-mates for a social media post earlier in the season which appeared to call the manager a li ..read more

Tottenham will not allow midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg to leave on loan in January as several European clubs target the Denmark international.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Juventus and Ajax are interested in the Premier League star but Spurs are currently not open to letting the Danish international leave.
The North London club already rejected a loan offer from Atletico Madrid for the 28-year-old this summer and Tottenham’s current injury problems mean that Ange Postecoglou will need to call upon Hojbjerg throughout the remainder of the season.

Arsenal have made the decision to sign a new striker in 2024 but the Gunners may be making a mistake by waiting until the summer to address the issue.
Mikel Arteta is in need of a proper number nine and according to Football Insider, Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic and Brentford’s Ivan Toney top the Spanish coach’s list of forward targets.

Ahead of the January transfer window, Arsenal have been given a boost in their pursuit of a striker that’s virtually a guarantee of goals.
In just six Serie A matches this season (and another four as sub), Dusan Vlahovic has bagged four goals and an assist, per WhoScored.
It’s that kind of goalscoring form that Arsenal could do with in the second half of the 2023/24 campaign if they want to stand any chance of winning their first Premier League title in 20 years.
Incredibly, not since the Invincibles season have a Gunners side lifted the English top-flight title.

It’s only taken a couple of months and the millions that Steven Gerrard is making in Saudi Arabia for him to be embroiled in a row as to who is football’s GOAT.
The Greatest Of All Time argument will continue for as long as a ball is kicked and is completely subjective, meaning that whether you’re pro-Messi, pro-Ronaldo or anyone else, there’ll always be plenty that will both support or argue against the decision.
