Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are among the teams fighting for a place in the last 16
By Ben McAleer for WhoScored
Familiar foes face off in the first Champions League playoff game this week as Brest take on PSG at the Stade de Roudourou in Guingamp. Brest’s ground did not meet Uefa’s requirements, so they will continue to play at the home of their local rivals. The Bretons will hope to extend their fine debut run in the Champions League, and they have won their last two matches, beating Troyes in the Coupe de France and Nantes in Ligue 1 ..read more

Today’s fluff is just a shot away from you
Manchester City may have already spent in excess of £120m this month but they haven’t finished yet, with Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus a potential full-back recruit and Atalanta’s Éderson, rated at £70m, among the midfielders they have their eye on. The Mill knows what you’re thinking, but beyond the one at Atalanta and the one already at City there are no other Edersons playing top-flight football anywhere, so sadly the dream of a team full of them is destined never to be realised.
If City fail to land Éderson No 2 they might sign their former player D ..read more

Today’s rumours think about your dumb face all the time
Manchester United seem to be plotting a double raid on Paris Saint-Germain, after identifying Randal Kolo Muani as the answer to their striking problems and Nuno Mendes as their ideal left-back, though neither transfer looks straightforward. Muani, who moved to the Parc des Princes for £77m only 16 months ago and has scored twice in 14 appearances this season, could be available on loan and is also interesting Tottenham while also finding himself on a three-man shortlist drawn up by Juventus, where he is joined by United’s own Joshua Zirk ..read more
