Through a combination of mentoring, Socratic discussion, and philosophical exploration, HLA aims to inspire our scholars to change the world of healthcare, one small step at a time.

As an academic clinical fellow in neurosurgery at Southampton General Hospital and part of the Oxford University Global Surgery Group, I had the privilege of being a scholar in the Amsterdam 2020-2021 cohort of the Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA) when I was an FY1.

Clinicians from the UK and around the world are being invited to apply for the annual Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA) Scholars programme, a prestigious scholarship set up to develop and nurture healthcare leaders of the future.
The HLA has announced that it is now taking applications from medical, nursing and allied health professions for the new programme beginning September 2023. A total of 100 fully funded scholarships will be available in this latest application round.
