Well, that is awful for Serge Gnabry.
Bayern Munich made it official — Serge Gnabry is out for the final games of this season.
In an announcement from FCBayern.com, Gnabry suffered a torn muscle against Real Madrid:
Serge Gnabry will miss the remainder of this season after the Bayern forward suffered a hamstring injury in Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid, having to leave the field after 27 minutes. This follows examination by the club’s medical department.
This leaves Gnabry in doubt for a spot with the German national t ..read more

Rangnick is committed to Austria, and that is the sole reason he did not want to switch for the Bayern job.
Bayern Munich’s front office was a little bit surprised when Ralf Rangnick ultimately decided to stick with the Austrian national team amidst positive discussions surrounding him becoming the Thomas Tuchel successor for the Rekordmeister. It seemed as if he was in line to be the man to get the nod from Max Eberl, Christoph Freund and Bayern’s board, but he said he ultimately said he was not ready to make what he referred to as a “drastic life change” at this moment in time.

Bayer Leverkusen is close to pulling off a non-conventional version of a treble.
Bayern Munich loanee Josip Stanišić’s game-winner seven minutes into extra time gave Bayer Leverkusen yet another improbable win on Thursday, but the 24-year-old insisted that a loss in that match would not have ruined the season for Die Werkself.
“I don’t think we would have cared in the end if we lost and still progressed because we really wanted to get to the final, but it’s even nicer this way.” Stanisic (as captured by The Mirror).
For Xabi Alonso, the coac ..read more

The door has now been closed, but the Bayern No. 6 offered his thoughts back when it looked like the Austrian national team coach would be the one to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
Do you believe Ralf Rangnick is capable of being a successful Bayern coach?
Austria men’s national team coach Ralf Rangnick is now one of a few near misses for Bayern Munich’s next head coach — and he is probably the closest among them.
At one point it was thought that Rangnick was closing in on a deal with the Bavar ..read more

The Canadian is likely headed to Real Madrid this summer...
Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has had a down year, but did rise up in a big moment on Wednesday to give the squad an improbable 1-0 lead against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Not only was Davies playing wing when he scored, but he also ripped off a rocket of a shot with his right foot.
For the Canadian, it was truly the highlight of his season.
For Real Madrid, though, Davies’ participation in the tie was curious. The 23-year-old has been closely linked to ..read more

If you love someone, let them go.
Bayern Munich and Hansi Flick may be finding their ways back to each other.
After burning through a laundry list of apparently more preferred options, the German giants have apparently realized that Flick is the best option remaining. After an acrimonious parting of ways in 2021, the parties seem to have reconciled — and it is now getting serious.
From Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg:

Okay, one last rant then time to move on!
As has been said many times throughout history: “Getting old sucks.”
It has also been said that with age comes wisdom, but a little thing called hope tends to get in the way of rational thinking. When Bayern Munich suffered through an epic collapse against Real Madrid in the Champions League, even the most experienced fans could not help, but walk away frustrated and thinking about what might been.
When it comes down to it, though, the loss came down to a few things that were probably always going to happen ..read more

The offseason is just about upon us...what will Bayern Munich do?
With Bayern Munich’s season essentially over, it is now time for the club to start tying up loose ends for the season — namely hiring a head coach and figuring out what the roster might look like next season.
Clearly, the action is just about to start instead of drawing to a close for the season. Let’s take a look at what subjects we dive into for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:

As if this bad season couldn’t get any worse
We all know what happened in Bayern Munich’s most recent Champions League game, and needless to say it was one of the worst things to happen to the club in a while. Fate decided to give us fans a taste of what was to come as a half-fit Serge Gnabry hobbled off injured in the 28th minute, and it looks like the extent of the injury was bad enough to jeopardize his place in Germany’s Euro 2024 team:
Serge Gnabry’s hamstring injury he sustained against Real Madrid could keep him out for weeks. Gnabry’s Bayern ..read more
