Make the Easiest Cheese Board with a Platterful Charcuterie Kit

When Platterful reached out to me about sending one of their charcuterie kits as a gift, I was so excited to try one and to have an easy and fast solution to a delicious appetizer (or meal LOL) for when I host guests. As most of you know, I recently had our first baby, so I’m all about “quick and easy” these days but don’t want the quality of my served appetizers to suffer. Insert: Platterful’s Charcuterie Kits! The content of Platterful’s charcuterie kit came well packaged, with the perishable items (hello, cheese!!) tucked inside a dry ice container and the rest were outside the dry ice. Pl ..read more

I cannot believe I’ve lived in Columbus, Ohio for almost eleven years now and hadn’t yet made a trip to Buckeye Lake. Buckeye Lake is just 30-45 minutes east of Columbus and is the perfect little lake town getaway, whether you’re there for the weekend or just there for the day! A few weekends ago, I took a day trip and hit up so many great spots for food, drinks, and activities in the Buckeye Lake area and I’ve condensed them all into a post to help you plan your trip there soon. Buckeye Lake Stop #1: Millersport Coffee One of the first things that struck us about this cute little lake town is ..read more

Neehee’s: Vegetarian and Vegan Friendly Indian Food

I’ll be the first to admit that when I think of your standard “vegetarian” or “vegan” food, I instantly think of American eats. Don’t get me wrong, Columbus has a TON of amazing and locally owned spots for plant-based eats (see the post I wrote on those here!) but many of them don’t venture into other cuisines. I was so excited to find that the new(ish!) Neehee’s Vegetarian Indian Street Food on Sawmill has done exactly that, and brought a load of Indian dishes to the plant-based, vegetarian, and vegan market. Neehee’s Indian Vegetarian Street Food on Sawmill in Dublin, Ohio It’s not uncommon ..read more

I grew up in a small town about an hour and a half away from Columbus. I’ll never forget the weekends when my mom and I would pack up and leave early on a Saturday morning for a FULL day of shopping and eating in Columbus before heading home – happy and most certainly not hungry. Now, many years later and many miles closer to Columbus, it should be pretty obvious why Easton Town Center is my favorite place to eat and shop! #sponsored There are SO many options to get your day started right at Easton Town Center but one of the best places is on the newer (north) side of Easton. One of Columbus’ busiest restaurant weekends of the year is coming soon, and it feels SO good that things are finally (slowly) starting to get back to normal! If you’re like me, you’ve experienced this “busiest restaurant weekend in Columbus” one of two ways: A) You’ve dined for an Ohio State graduation or Mothers Day celebration sometime in the past or B) You’re in the service industry and you’ve worked it. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing them both I won’t dive into the latter, but if you’re someone who’s looking for a dining out option for Mother’s Day or a graduation celebration this ..read more

A list of fancy (or not-so-fancy) takeout or carryout food options for New Year’s Eve in Columbus, Ohio. Here it is – 2020 may have been a bust for most of us, but there’s no reason to end it without a good meal! I’ve included a brief but effective list of New Year’s Eve dinner options in the Columbus area that I could find. The first list includes options that are a little fancier (steak dinner, multiple courses, includes a bottle of wine, etc.) And just in case “fancy” isn’t your vibe for the ball drop celebration, I created a second list for some fun carryout options on the cheaper side. Best Lobster Mac and Cheese

Mac and Cheese is great. Find someone out there who disagrees with me and I’ll fight them (okay, I actually know a surprising number of acquaintances who don’t like cheese.. but.. notice how I called them acquaintances instead of friends? We’ll leave it at that.) Now that I’ve (just barely) graduated past the phase of heating up a box of Kraft Mac, I’m all about adding things that make my cheesy dinner even better. Chorizo? Let’s do it. Dredge a ball of macaroni in a ball and fry it? (@foodsofjane did it best) YEP. But something I’ve never attempted until recently is adding lobster into our m ..read more
