To Quench Your Thirst

You were walking along a path that led through enchanted lands of illusions. You have traversed subsequent ways to reach the beginning of your earthly existence. The right to pain helps you discover the hills behind which no sky hides. Your tears are too salty to quench your thirst. Your sadness is too perfect to reveal the other side of light. Kiss me right in the center of my heart, give me a pen and a clean piece of paper so that I can write the introduction to my plagiarized... Read more ..read more

"Today, we cried, but maybe they will sing for us, tomorrow. Toy soldiers died, in hopes of ending worldly sorrow. Should I let go or follow, as I am so consumed by this, realistic child's play? It seems, my tricycle is stuck in this sandbox, until the end of this birth day. And as I push away from grains of sand so stained with blood and covered up by I-owe-yous, I find clues through labyrinth of views that lead me to plateau of higher truth. I live to love and die to... Read more ..read more

She sits. She ponders. She makes herself busy. Spirit not fed. She works. She interacts. She clocks out. “Man it’s time for bed.” Dazed when I don’t know my purpose. Eyes wide open, I know I’m not dead. But instead, she pretends it’s all okay, Choking back the dread. Spirit tucked behind the light. Light not so bright. Light not so bright. Light not so bright. Talk about themselves, trying to play it safe. Why are they staring at my face? Why are they talking to my face? Who put you in... Read more ..read more

They got upset with me again... It's still ringing in my ears. I feel anxious. I can't breathe. No energy. No movement. I don't want to do anything. I don't want to get hurt again. I don't have a choice... It is my duty to support. To be the best I can be. To not be a burden or liability. To do what must be done. To not let myself interfere. No opinions. No complaints. No demands. No exceptions. That's the way it oughta be. But should it be? Should it always feel this heavy? On my... Read more ..read more

Howdy, girl! You know the masters, The masters of literature, And people still think Your neck is red And pure. You devour poems Like a drunk genius, And you howl… From your pick-up truck. You drink cola in the morning, Cherry pies in the afternoon And bourbon at night. Let me be by your sight, My world is light… When I’m by your side. At 1.a.m. you write like a maniac, You write like a genius, So outragedly writing in your room That them people think You’re cooking up bad things. So... Read more ..read more

Softly planted doe prints Excite the smooth blanket of snow. Light powder Patterned With nervous starts and fearful leaps ears twitching to hear better Non-symmetrical pawprints In the snow. Scattered hunters, Mad dogs Chasing her down. Curled nearby under cover Little fawn awaits comfort. Small hopes. Time waits. Incessant snow melts on the Fawns white spots ..read more
