ESTERO A man is being looked for after deputies say he was caught on camera shoplifting from a Best Buy in Estero Saturday. The unidentified man entered the Best Buy on 8000 Mediterranean Drive in Estero and took a  21.5” Apple iMac, which had a spider wrap anti-theft device on it. He walked out of the store with the laptop without paying for it, before he got in the passenger side of a red sedan and left the area. ESTERO The past school year has seen tons of students missing out on milestones. From prom to field trips, many of the hallmark moments that typically make up a school yearbook simply didn’t happen. Crews respond to 35-acre brush fire on Corkscrew Rd in Lee County, 95% contained

ESTERO Estero Fire Rescue is leading the response to a large brush fire in southeast Lee County Wednesday afternoon. According to the fire rescue Facebook post, the fire is about 35 acres and 95% contained as of 3:45 p.m. The scene is in the area of 23971 Corkscrew Rd, which is roughly 7 miles east of the Corkscrew intersection with Alico Road. No structures are reportedly in danger due to the fire at this time. ESTERO On Tuesday, Lee County commissioners will discuss widening Corkscrew Road to alleviate its traffic issues. If you live in Estero, you already know the struggle of getting around Corkscrew Road, dangerously congested from the new houses popping up, from the traffic of building those communities and from commutes to school. In a community bulletin sent to residents via email, Bella Terra confirmed one person died during an “isolated domestic violence situation” in the area of Larina Loop.
