The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, with proclamations for National Boat Safety Week and 4KIDS – National Foster Care Awareness Month.
Council will address a pre-construction services contract to manage the construction of roadway and intersection improvements along Williams Road, west of US 41, to prevent illegal left turns at the Walgreen entrance and provide a roundabout the Life Care Center entrance.

Lee County Utilities will be temporarily converting its disinfectant process from chloramines to free chlorine residual from May 1 through May 21.
This is a routine measure that is common for water utilities using chloramines as its primary disinfectant.
Residents who use a kidney dialysis machine at home should contact an equipment supplier so the proper filtering equipment can be installed.
Tropical fish or aquatic animal owners should contact a local tropical fish store for appropriate pretreatment of water before adding water to tanks.

Corkscrew Road Widening Project – Phase I Construction Project: The project widens Corkscrew Road to six lanes from Ben Hill Griffin Parkway to Fire House Lane, and to four lanes from Fire House Lane to Bella Terra Boulevard. The project includes adding on-road bike lanes, some sidewalk, installing new drainage, and constructing a wildlife crossing approximately 1000 feet west of the entrance to Cypress Shadows Boulevard. On March 29, FEMA verbally informed Lee County and four municipalities (City of Bonita Springs, City of Cape Coral, Town of Fort Myers Beach and the Village of Estero) that it would be potentially removing discounts on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) on premiums that allow residents to save money on their flood insurance effective October 1.
FEMA has expressed concerns related to compliance with the NFIP. The Village, and each of the other jurisdictions similarity cited, maintains that we are in compliance.

The Estero Forever Foundation (EFF) operated and managed the Village-owned Golf Coast Droving Range at 9000 Williams Road since July 2022 under an agreement with the Village. The EFF staff and volunteers served the Estero community for over 21 months, with volunteers providing 4,655 hours of service.

Corkscrew Road is now in its final configuration from Ben Hill Griffin Parkway to Bella Terra Boulevard. Motorists should expect isolated flagging operations with periodic lane closures as the contractor works through the final project punch list.
