We all face it
Those moments that make smile
When it’s your turn
When you can finally see all the dedication
turn into tangible results
When opportunity meets preparation
And those long nights crying in the dark because
your failures and shortcomings keep mounting are
now tears of joy because you’re in the moment you
visualized when you started this journey.
We all embrace it.
Those moments of solace that makes
us feel like yes.
This is what I deserve
From the lowest of lows to the highest form
Of nirvana to the pout.
That when you’re in that moment
nothing else matters
The noise drowns ..read more

I wish the memory of you would go away,
instead of the millions of poems
that rush from my head.
Oh the possibilities of inspiration
and connection I could make if
they replaced the idea of you.
the pain rages through my psyche.
Alas,
you live rent free,
as if you own me.
Kicking out the good words,
that could release me from your grasp,
like a debt collector you relentlessly
pass through my mind reminding me of the time
I made that bad decision investing in you.
And now much like my student loans
I’m destined to pay off this lingering debt
with my body sacrificing years off my life,
Till they ..read more

Why did I choose to publish? Because I’m a writer, and people deserve to read my work. And my legacy should be solidified. Why Did I choose to Publish? because I can. Why Did I choose to publish? And because I want to be a successful writer.
And because I want to.
There are so many reasons as to why I chose to publish. And I stand by every one of them. I’m a writer at heart. I make complex ideas sound simple to people. I motivate people through my words. I relinquish dark thoughts swirling in my mind like Jupiter’s red spot constantly releasing gas into the darkness of space ..read more

I promised myself that once I got my apartment and became settled, I would dedicate myself full time to my writing. Since I got my apartment just before National poetry month, I found the perfect time to start writing. As a writer and a poet, I have this free time and the monkey off my back to write consistently. Therefore, here is day one of my 100-day blog. I’ll start them off with a poem, then lead off into ways I challenge myself to become better as a human being all the while logging my daily journeys.
To see all of my poems, check out my poetry books, Confessions of A Hopeless Creative ..read more

The other side. Is bright,
And enriched with life.
The cataclysm made yesterday has wisped away, and the darkness
that used to harness your life is no longer causing you strife.
The light, it is coming faster and faster.
Every moment you move forward you break the cycles that used to break you.
Every passing second feels like a shedding of skin, like a caterpillar rising from
It’s cocoon a butterfly and eroding the shell that had you stuck.
You are in full bloom.
Your worries are but memories that used to shatter you.
Now your mind is cleared with skies that are filled to the ..read more
