One of the main reasons I wanted to move to London was the diversity of the city. I grew up in a small country town with a predominantly white middle class population and a serious lack of diversity. Having been to mainly international universities, with people from all over the world, moving back made me feel very much like a fish out of water. I felt like I needed to live somewhere where there were people from all over the world and where they spoke English. So, London was the obvious choice.

If you’ve read my previous skincare posts, you may know that I have very problematic skin. It’s extremely oily and acne prone and I get eczema a lot too.
Unfortunately a great deal of this is genetic (thanks, dad!), so it can’t completely be “cured”. But thankfully a healthy diet and a good skincare routine can make a big difference.
Over the past decades skincare has become more and more inclusive to different skin types, so that’s good news for those with problematic skin. But on the other hand, it also makes the world of skincare a very complicated web to navigate!

Now this is harder than it looks, because this is nature. And nature has a will of its own! The trees bloom in their own time and sometimes you arrive at a spot at the crack of dawn. Your trusty camera in hand, and the blossom is either gone, or it hasn’t started blooming yet. I know, frustrating right!
But over the years I’ve made a bit of a guide, so hear me ..read more

Lately things have been super stressful with my job, and so I’ve been in a desperate need for good old fashioned comfort food.
And this Mac N Cheese is the ultimate comfort food recipe. Quick, easy to make and only needs a few ingredients you probably already have in your cupboard, so it’s cheap too.
What more do you want?
If you are vegan or lactose intolerant and you’re reading this thinking: “Holy cow, that is a lot of dairy!”, don’t fret. All the ingredients (even the cheese) have dairy-free versions you can shop at the bottom.
To make enough for 2, you need:
