Mercedes. Both the Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet and E-Class Cabriolet are no more. That means if you want Mercedes’ entry-level open-top cruiser, you’re going to have to get one of these—the 2024 Mercedes CLE Cabriolet. With a starting price of $65,500, it’s more expensive than the drop-top C-Class, but cheaper than the E-Class Cab was. It’s also headed to dealers this spring. As you could guess by its name, the CLE Cabriolet is based on the CLE Coupe, which means it has the same face, headlights, taillights, and shoulder line. It’s sleeker and more stylish than the C-Class Cabriolet it replace ..read more

A New Ford Mustang Variant Is Coming Next Year. Can You Guess What It Is?
The Drive
by James Gilboy

Ford Neither the new special edition nor the free over-the-air gauge skin were the most exciting news from the Ford Mustang’s 60th anniversary yesterday. That’d be the announcement of a new flavor of Mustang that Ford says is coming next year, and it’s anyone’s guess as to what’s in store. The new variant was teased in a presentation at the Mustang’s 60th anniversary celebration. Coming 2025, the sub-model was shown off under a yellow shroud obscuring most of its fine body details. One element is clear, though: It has a tall rear spoiler like the Dark Horse, suggesting whatever it is isn’t ju ..read more

F1 Drivers Surprised by China Track That’s Been ‘Repainted, Not Resurfaced’
The Drive
by Jerry Perez

The Formula 1 circus is returning to China’s Shanghai International Circuit this weekend, following a five-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Like everywhere else, the venue’s changed considerably in the intervening years and this weekend’s happenings will be different from the last time F1 cars roared around the 3.4-mile circuit—especially the track’s surface. While performing their usual Thursday track walks, F1 drivers noticed a mysterious, dark finish on the asphalt. While the FIA and teams were notified that the circuit had been treated to a full resurfacing slightly over a year ag ..read more

Big Savings On Tools From Ace You Can Buy Online And Pickup In A Real Hardware Store
The Drive

We all love tool deals. I say this with confidence for two reasons. One, you’re on a car website, in a section called The Garage run by two guys who might actually go to a Cars and Coffee event—if the cars were parked on lifts. And two, because we have a whole department that keeps track of what our readers click through and buy. Like us, you can’t pass up a deal on tools. For today, we are taking a look at tool deals from Ace Hardware, probably the closest thing most of us have to an actual hardware store these days. As convenient and useful as the big-boxes are, I like to walk into a store ..read more

COTA Is Buying Back Early-Bird F1 Tickets So It Can Sell Them For More Money
The Drive

Getty If you were one of the early-bird buyers who snagged $299 three-day passes for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix weekend, Circuit of the Americas wants your tickets back. They’re buying ‘em for $350, so you can get a full return on your money and then some. Just know the folks at America’s only dedicated F1 circuit intend to do so because once the weekend’s musical acts are announced, they can sell those tickets for a lot more than that. Before the U.S. Grand Prix, there’s always a concert of some sort at COTA. The first run of tickets was priced and sold before the musical lineup ..read more

World’s Largest Mack Truck Is Getting a New Shot at Life After 55 Years
The Drive

For every perfectly preserved, eight-figure collector car that surfaces at Amelia Island or Monterey, there’s a vehicular treasure that’s stashed away for good, never to be seen or enjoyed by the public again. While it’s clearly different from a pre-war Bugatti, my mind goes to Ford’s experimental turbine semi-truck named “Big Red,” which was hidden for years until my old coworker Peter located it. Something in that same vain is happening in New Jersey right now as the last surviving Mack M100SX, the largest truck ever built by the manufacturer, is being restored after decades of disuse. Review: Quad Lock’s Smartphone Case And Mount System Is Beyond Heavy Duty
The Drive
by Michael Febbo
7h ago
I receive smartphone dashboard mounts for testing on a regular basis. Most of them are made of flimsy plastics held together with a few metal fasteners that provide just enough structure to keep your device swaying precariously from the dashboard. They are basically disposable pieces, with different brands being popped out of the same molds in the same factories, just labeled with different names that are created with some sort of random corporate branding generator. While Quad Lock may not have quite the same ring as Thunder Pow or Good Workman, its products are designed to last longer than ..read more

I Successfully Swapped My ’69 Charger’s Rear Suspension to a Heidts 4-Link
The Drive
by Hank O’Hop

My 1969 Dodge Charger has been my trusted warhorse for a long time now as a daily driver here in the hills of Northeastern Pennsylvania. It’s a far cry from a nimble canyon carver, but I’ve done several mods to help it steer and handle better than stock. I’m proud of it. But that’s not stopping me from tearing it apart to answer a big question: Can you get modern, restomod-caliber performance in a vintage muscle car from a bolt-on suspension kit? If you’re just joining me, I recently linked up with Heidts Suspension to test their new front and rear kits for the ’69 Charger. Specifically, I’m ..read more

2025 Toyota Camry First Drive Review: The Best ‘Boring’ Car Keeps Getting Better
The Drive
by José Rodríguez Jr.
11h ago
José Rodríguez Jr. If someone were to make a video game about boring cars, the Toyota Camry would be the final boss. For over 40 years, the Camry has been a staple among those who just want An Car and the 2025 Toyota Camry isn’t trying to change that. It’s not a sports car, a luxury car, nor a mom or dad car—that honor is reserved for minivans and crossovers. The prefix that best applies to the Camry is “normal” if you prefer to be nice, or “boring” if you want to be, well, less nice.  But the Camry is also one of the best-selling cars in its segment, and it was one of the last sedans to ..read more

Best GPS Speedometers: Efficiently Monitor Your Driving Speeds
The Drive
by Hank O’Hop

Sometimes, the factory speedometer isn’t an option. Maybe you’re trying different wheel and tire combinations that throw off calibration. Maybe the gauge cluster finally gave up the ghost. Or maybe the dang thing isn’t even hooked up. No matter the case, you need to keep an eye on your speeds. The best GPS speedometers are your way around many issues, like those mentioned and more. They’re simple to set up, cheap enough to buy a few for good measure, and there are plenty of different configurations to work with. That doesn’t mean you don’t need a little help, though. There are a few things to ..read more
