Acceleration equals 9.81m/s2 but when I drop something from a 1 meter height it travels at about 1m/s . But if I use 1m in the equation I get the same result as if at rest and not falling . If I use 9.81m/s2 I get the same result from a 1m height as if the object was at rest F=ma2 1kg*9.81=9.81 freefall 1m height 1kg*9.81=9.81 object on the ground 1kg*1=1 freefall 1m height 1kg*1=1 object on the ground Am I doing something wrong ..read more

According to my basic calculations ,there may be an unfathomable amount of elements ! What we see is not all there is and there no law governs the dimensions of an element ! Let us consider an elementary particle that is a conservation particle . Let us consider this particle has a 1:1:1 conservation limit . 1 particle , 1 conserved charge and 1 conserved ev . Now let us call this element 1 . Now let us consider 2 of these particles fused together as one . We now have a value of 1:2:2 , Now let us call this element 2 Ok , so where do we stop ? We could just keep going and going creatin ..read more

Einstein's Greatest Theory Just Passed Its Most Rigorous Test Yet The MICROSCOPE mission tested the weak equivalence principle with free-falling objects in a satellite www.scientificamerican.com scientificretard said: The team behind the research wanted to test a component of Einstein's theory of general relativity called the weak equivalence principle, which states that all objects, regardless of their mass or composition, should free-fall the same way in a particular gravitational field when interference from factors like air pressure is eliminated. To do so, the scientists measur ..read more

Researchers simulate how an ancient impact left a pear-shaped dent on Pluto. April 23, 2024 By Rahul Rao A Pluto image composite, courtesy of the New Horizons mission. (Image credit: NASA/Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory/Southwest Research Institute) When NASA’s New Horizons mission flew past Pluto in 2015, it gave humanity our first glimpse of a colossal depression on the isolated world. It's named Sputnik Planitia. Comparable in size to the country of Mexico and dominating one of Pluto’s hemispheres, Sputnik Planitia is likely the result of an impact — but few impact c ..read more

Hello, I am new to this forum group. But I had an interesting experience: while trying to twist a candle wick for my daughter's oil lamp, I used a wooden bead and attached the long bundle of thread. But it was still difficult to put a fastening thread around the bundle. So I used a hollow metal body to insert the unused thread bundle. This is where I realized an unexpected advantage of this technique: When you rotate these weights, it is much easier to stabilize the wick by twisting the attachment thread around the bundle that you slowly pull out of the wick. Do you think that the Romans used ..read more
