The Workplace Dilemma

There are unlimited initiatives that aim to empower women in the workplace yet not much recruitment for women into roles they are qualified for and or are male dominated. Women are still limited in improving their economic, social and educational situations. It is hard for women to thrive in their careers if we have less of them in the boardrooms, executive teams or as senior managers. They have the last say in workplace policies and strategies to bridge the unequal gender gap in the workplace. Women subject to sexual favours and other indecent acts to get the same opportunities men get merel ..read more

We Should All Be Feminists!

Recently and most of my life I have heard of both women and men refer to gender equality movements as uplifting, favouring and glorifying women alone. It is a pity that there is not much awareness about Gender Equality and Feminism. It is only because of previous and current disadvantages that one gender is being uplifted and more preferred than the other gender. Let us engage in the discussion about what feminism is and why is it important to all of us.  A woman is a female human being. She is made of so much wonder as everything in the universe is. This means that women are as sp ..read more

Feelings are not often observed yet they easily influence our ways of life. Let us not forget the matters of the heart too. The past weeks I have had so much time building on my thoughts for the blog content and less time to write it down. I wondered and imagined what it would read like. Today I want to share with you some of the thoughts about my recent gratefulness reflections on many matters of life. It is amazing how we can find pleasure in the little things and how easily they can bring us down too. Sometimes I cannot get over the fact that I have only had 10 years of life with ..read more

This is not that piece of article that tells you to stop drinking or condemn you for drinking alcohol. I have indulged in alcohol myself; abused it as horribly as you can ever image. I am not proud of it to any extent. I am ashamed and somehow regretful of the experiences. Nonetheless, now I can proudly say that I have had my lessons and binge drinking is one thing we ought to discuss. I think we have to talk about it somehow and see what we can take from it. In this article, I hope to share with you my views, observations and experiences.  Whiskeys were my first favourite alcohol type ..read more

There are myths that suggest that curvy women giving birth is easier and natural compared to women with no curves/smaller curves. However, I know of many curvy women who had to go through a caesarean section. Curves do not determine how women give birth. Curves do not define the perfect body and many factors that revolve around women. Enjoy this piece of writing as I discuss the stigma associated to female curves and more. Every woman is woman enough with or without curves. I like to believe and see beauty in all shapes women transform. Some women naturally have curves while some must squad t ..read more

Having Independence as a woman means freedom and opportunities to infinite paths of life. In this piece of writing I want to share with you what it means to be an Independent Woman. Many people think that being independent is solely defined by finances o ..read more

Some people believe that women breasts are sexually provocative and must be hidden by all means. It is sad to observe that both men and women normally scrutinize women of their appearance ridiculously. In this piece of writing, I will emphasize on one part of the female body, the breasts. I want to express how Body Negativity unfolds and how we can channel these acts into Body Positivity. I am not sure if there is such a thing as The Perfect Breasts, not in size nor shape. It's exciting how the human body evolves. We like to see growth reflect on our bodies. I have noticed especially when t ..read more

Strange Trust

The Stranger’s Trust It wasn’t long ago when I was out of town for a breather. I was at an old café when I found myself having a conversation with a total stranger on the progress we’ve made as a country on gender equality. I’ll call this stranger David. The status quo on this issue is debatable and different from person to person according to individual morals and values, not to leave out the exposure of one. David was fairly a good conversationalist and more of a feminist than I expected. I know you’re probably thinking I’m so judgmental; well no, it was just an opinion which anyone is enti ..read more
