MOORPARK (CBSLA) — A pair of San Fernando Valley brothers have been arrested in connection with a string of thefts from Kohl’s department stores throughout Ventura County. Vardan Gevorgyan, 30, of North Hollywood, and Raphael Gevorgyan, 37, of Van Nuys, were arrested last Friday at an apartment complex in Pacoima, where one of them had been staying, following an investigation into an organized retail theft spree, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. MOORPARK (CBSLA) — The public’s help is needed Wednesday to track down an apparent arsonist authorities believe set several small fires throughout Moorpark in the past two months. MOORPARK (CBSLA) — The two Bengal tigers who live at Moorpark College are getting a new, $3.5 million habitat. MOORPARK (CBSLA) – Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies on Friday arrested a man for attempted murder and arson in Moorpark on Moonsong Court. The incident was reported early on Friday, at around 10 a.m., when authorities found a man, Shaka Watkins, attempting to light a residence on the street on fire. MOORPARK (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters early Tuesday were battling a 50 acre brush fire that was sparked in a Ventura County orchard. The Happy Camp Fire was first reported around 2 a.m., just west of Moorpark College and east of Rustic Canyon Golf Course in Moorpark, the Ventura County Fire Department said. The unsettling sight was spotted at about 10 p.m. Wednesday night and were visible to eagle-eyed sky watchers throughout Southern California.
