SHOREVIEW, Minn. (WCCO) — Authorities say a driver whose vehicle stalled on Interstate 694 in the northeast metro left their car and was hit by another driver Monday night. SHOREVIEW, Minn. (AP/WCCO) — Minnesota officials on Monday were trying to determine what killed thousands of fish in Lake Owasso. There’s no evidence of a chemical spill or toxins, and tests show that oxygen levels are normal, said Harland Hiemstra, a spokesman for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Lake Owasso lies within Shoreview and Roseville in the northern St. Paul suburbs. The lake is managed primarily for muskies, he said. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 51-year-old Shoreview man is accused of shooting out a squad vehicle’s window and a door of a police station in Circle Pines. According to the Anoka County Attorney’s Office, Donald Raymond Guse faces four felony charges and one gross misdemeanor charge in connection to the Jan. 10 incident, with the most serious charge being drive-by shooting. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Fire crews in Shoreview battled a duplex fire Wednesday evening that displaced two families. According to Lake Johanna Fire Department officials, crews were dispatched at 9:15 p.m. to duplex fire on the 500 block of Lake Cove Court. There, the garage was engulfed next to the duplex and was extending to the house and neighboring unit. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — One-hundred-eleven pounds of methamphetamine were recently recovered from a Shoreview home. A drug task force also found three and a half pounds of cocaine at the apartment. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Another Twin Cities pool is temporarily closed to make sure swimmers don’t get sick. The Shoreview Community Center says someone swam in its pool after they were already infected with cryptosporidium, a parasite that gives people diarrhea. The center closed the pool Monday afternoon to disinfect it, but it will reopen Tuesday at noon.
