This is a humble tribute to one of the star-servants of our time who made Baháʼu’lláh the centre of his life in both his thoughts and deeds. To please the heart of the Blessed Beauty was the motto in his life, which he had demonstrated at every phase of his life. This story captures the salient aspects of his services to the Cause.
Leong Ho San or Ho San as he was popularly known, grew up in the family home at 21, Pengkalan Rama Road, and later moved to 61, St. John’s Hill, both in Malacca town. Among the seven children in the family- four girls and thre ..read more

ROYAL ALBERT HALL
This story carries some first-hand recollections from some believers of the then Malaya, who participated in the First Bahá’í World Congress held in London in 1963. To them, the First Bahá’í World Congress was certainly a one-time event in their lifetime.
The beloved Guardian had wanted this long-planned gathering to take place in Baghdad, but the situation did not allow the gathering to take place there. In 1961, the Hands of the Cause of God residing at the Holy Land decided to hold the Congress in London, which would also enable the participant ..read more

We received the news of the passing of Beatrice (Betty) Benson, devoted steadfast handmaiden of Bahá’u’lláh, with much sorrow. Her tireless labors to advance the Cause of God, distinguished by her service as a member of the Continental Board of Counsellors in Australasia for two decades, of your National Assembly, and of the Auxiliary Board for Propagation in Australia, are remembered with great fondness and appreciation. May the memory of her selfless dedication as a teacher of the Faith continue to inspire and encourage all those ..read more

We were grieved to learn of the passing of John Fozdar, consecrated servant of the Faith of God. His decades-long pioneering to different countries in Southeast Asia, in particular his move to Brunei, which won him the accolade of those listed in the Roll of Honour of Knights of Bahá’u’lláh, is recalled with great admiration. His manifold services, including as a member of the Continental Board of Counsellors in Asia and as a member of the Spiritual Assemblies of Malaysia and Sarawak, leave an enduring legacy for future generations. To his wife and children and ..read more

Today he is remembered as one of the legendary figures in the history of the Faith oon account of his selfless and sacrificial services rendered.
It was through dramatic turn of events that Kuppusamy Gopal, later known as Kuppu, came into the Faith. In August 1966 Mr. Firaydun Mithaq, a pioneer from Iran to Laos came to attend a summer school held in Port Dickson. After the summer scho ..read more

8 October 1940 to 27 November 2004 Rama Naidu was one of those whose services for the Faith shall be well remembered for ages to come. He was constantly on the move with some kind of unparalleled energy, zeal, and commitment from the time he accepted the Faith in 1965 to his last breath. His one and the only desire was to please the heart of the Blessed Beauty through untiring services, and for his soul to wing its flight to the Unseen Realms while still serving, which did come to pass!
Rama Naidu hailing from a humble family was one of the fortunate ones to have gained sound education. His c ..read more

1936 to 1 July 2020 This is the story of the first Bahá’í youth to have accepted the Faith in Malaysia and one who also became the first home-front pioneer as well. This story brings to the fore some of the salient services rendered by this exemplary youth in the early days of the development of the Faith in this country.
The circumstances leading to the acceptance of the Faith by Tushar have been dramatic. While Dr. K. M. Fozdar and his wife Shirin Fozdar from India were pioneering in Singapore in the early 1950s, they engaged in writing articles and placing advertisements on the Faith ..read more

Here is a brief story of a sincere maidservant of the Cause who carried out tireless services for the Cause from the time she accepted the Faith in 1958, earning profound admiration and appreciation from individuals and institutions, including the Universal House of Justice, at the time of her passing. From the time of accepting the Faith, Lily Jansz had one goal and only one goal in mind- to please the heart of Baháʼu’lláh through relentless service in the vineyard of her Lord.
Lily Jansz, whose father George was a Ceylonese Dutch Burgher, was bo ..read more

It has been half a century of restless service that Lum Weng Hoe had passionately rendered the Cause of Bahá’u’lláh. He had served the Cause wholly and wholeheartedly, as would be readily and undeniably acknowledged by those who had moved with him. His Creator has called Lum Weng Hoe to His realms on high perhaps for a wisdom only known to Him. History would have it that Weng Hoe, as he was called, resisted accepting the Faith when the Healing Message of Bahá’u’lláh wafter over him. But Weng Hoe’s own will was overpowered by the superio ..read more

The word “grace” has always been a mystery to me. Here is what Bahá’u’lláh says about it.
“His grace encompasseth all who have been called into being and been clothed with the robe of life.”- Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh.
I interpret this passage as God providing grace for those of us who strive to find answers about themselves and about life. However, is there a meaning for grace? Coming from a Christian background, I found this definition of grace… Christians believe that grace is “a spontaneous gift from God to people – “generous, free, and totally unexpected.”
