G. S. SANTHANAM KRISHNAN (1945 – 1975) Some people are like shooting stars. They brightly illuminate the sky for a short period and capture the attention of everyone before quickly disappearing and not to be seen anymore. Mr. G. S. Santhanam Krishnan of Singapore was one such exceptional soul. He occupies a unique place in the annals of the Faith. He arose to pioneer even before signing the Bahá’í declaration card which was a formality in those days in Singapore. And he pioneered and buried his bones in a country totally unknown to him. His life as a Bahá’í on this earthly plane lasted merely ..read more

TEACHING TRIP TO CENTRAL AMERICA

DR. FIRAYDUN MITHAQ, THAILAND This is about my teaching trip to Central America that I undertook after being inspired by a story that I had read about Amatu’l-Bahá Rúḥíyyih Khánum’s teaching activities in the deep Amazon jungles of Brazil. Her story later came out as a film called “The Green Light Expedition.” I was simply astonished to see that, despite being a lady of an advanced age, Amatu’l-Bahá withstood all odds and set an example for other much younger and energetic teachers of the Faith. My pioneering story began in 1962 when I landed in Laos from Iran. As a pioneer     ..read more

27 November 1911 – 19 June 1989 This is a story of my dear father, Dr. Harilal Mehraji Munje or popularly known as Dr. H. M. Munje. My late husband Dr. Harry T. D. Rost (known as Tim Rost) began research on my father’s life and services with intention to write his biography. Sadly, with his unexpected passing the work could not be completed. I took over what he had started and collected information about Dr. Munje from various sources. It needs to be mentioned that this story of Dr. Munje who lived a full life of 78 years, filled with immense Bahá’í activities is in no way exhaustive ..read more

BOOK REVIEW Mr. Manisegaran’s latest book, ‘DIFFUSERS OF DIVINE FRAGRANCES – An Account of the Hands of the Cause of God Who Visited Malaysia’ is a captivating, inspiring, and informative account of the visits by twelve Hands of the Cause of God to this country. It stands out as a work of pre-eminence among the books that this historian has penned. Biographies of several Hands of the Cause have been published in other parts of the world. While some of those Hands did visit this country, not all those biographies carry information on their visits to Malaysia, or at the most, make only passing ..read more

The unexpected arrival of Hand of the Cause of God Mr. Enoch Olinga to Kuala Lumpur was a pleasant surprise. In early 1971, Hand of the Cause of God Mr. Enoch Olinga, was in Singapore and right at the doorstep of Malaysia, but yet unsure of visiting this country.  It was the ardent prayers of the believers that made it possible for him to visit this country.  It is unfortunate that the beloved Hand of the Cause of God came to Malaysia only once, and that too on a lightning visit.  His visit was to Kuala Lumpur alone that not many of the Bahá’ís in other parts of the country cou ..read more
