How To Get Off The First Tee With Confidence

Getting off the first tee with confidence is very important.  If you’re struggling with this, here’s a few suggestions… First of all make sure that you hit some warm up shots before teeing off.  So many golfers just have a few putts before teeing off and don’t hit balls.  After warming up I suggest you take a couple of minutes before your tee shot to shut your eyes and imagine yourself driving off the first tee. And when you’re doing this imagine yourself swinging in slow motion. Why? Because most golfers natural instinct when teeing off is to hurry. If you i ..read more

Short Putting Confidence Improvement Tip

Short putts under 6 feet are a lot about confidence. If you’re confident you’re going to hole the putt you’ll have a great chance in doing so. And to help you improve your confidence on short putts here’s a drill you should do. On the practice putting green place four balls evenly around the hole 1 foot from the hole. Then hole all four putts. Next place 6 balls evenly around the hole 2 feet from the hole and hole all of those putts. It has to be all in a row to move back. After you’ve done that then place 8 balls evenly around a hole 3 feet from the hole and then attempt to hole all 8 balls i ..read more

3 Tiger Woods Putting Drills

Tiger is perhaps one of the best putters of all time. And there’s a few putting drills Tiger does that you can do to help improve your putting. One of the first is not using a putter at all. It’s putting with a wedge. Doing this is good for a couple of things in your putting. The first is helping you to put a good end-over-end roll on your putts. The second thing is helping you to contact the middle of the ball rather than the bottom of the ball. The next putting drill is to putt with only one hand. The good thing with doing this is that it will help you to release the putter PLUS it’s really ..read more

Copy These 3 New Bryson Dechambeau Golf Swing Speed Changes

It’s no secret that Bryson has sped up his golf swing.  But what golf swing changes has he made to help do this, and can you copy them? Actually, here’s some simple things he’s done that you can copy to help you hit longer drives. The first is that he now lets his left heel come up off the ground in the backswing.  If you don’t do that already give it a try because it will help you make a bigger turn in the backswing. The second simple thing he does is he simply takes the club away faster. No slow backswing for Bryson now.  By doing this it makes you much more athletic in the do ..read more

2020 Bryson DeChambeau Swing Analysis
ConsistentGolf.com

Bryson DeChambeau is making news in 2020 wherever he goes about what new thing he is trying next to improve (e.g. experimenting with 48 inch drivers). How much bigger is he going to get? How much longer is he going to get? What else is he going to try to improve? Interesting stuff for sure, and it’s going to be interesting how he handles the Masters in 2020. One thing is for certain… his high, long draw with the driver has got to be a HUGE advantage and make him one of the favorites going into that tournament. A while back I did an analysis of his swing, and I thought it would be interesting t ..read more

Center Clubface Contact Drill

Everyone knows how much further the ball goes when you hit the sweetspot. And there’s various ways to try to improve the consistency in doing that. You can get some scholls foot spray and spray that on your driver, and see instantly where you are hitting the ball. Or you could get a red whiteboard marker pen and draw a circle on the back of the ball you’re hitting, and then hit the back of that and it will leave a mark on your clubface. Or you could use impact labels. But here’s the thing… If you are doing that and just trying to consistently hit the middle of the clubface then you’re missing ..read more

Bryson Dechambeau Swing Speed Tip
ConsistentGolf.com

How about the transformation of Bryson Dechambeau! He looks like a real long drive competitor playing on the PGA Tour. No doubt he’s swinging faster, along with adding quite a bit of bulk to gain 20-30 yards in distance. Unfortunately, most of us have the bulk without the swing speed. But today I’m going to give you something easy you can do to change that…. Now to swing faster you can do what is called overlapped or underspeed training. What that is, if you don’t already know, is swinging something either lighter (overspeed) or heavier (underspeed) than your regular golf club. If you do this ..read more

Pitching Consistency Tip

There’s almost nothing worse than “flubbing” a pitch shot. And often when we practice our pitching we are trying to hit one good shot after another. We’re searching for consistency in other words. But so much of golf improvement is counter-intuitive, and this new tip today definitely is… However, ironically, if you do it you will become a better and more consistent pitcher. So here goes… The next time you go and practice your pitching I don’t want you to try to hit one good shot after another with the same trajectory. Instead, every shot I want you to alter something to get a different traject ..read more

Your Golf Scores Are Determined By This
ConsistentGolf.com

I want you to think back to your last 10 games of golf. Were they mainly in the 90’s?  Were they in the 80’s or 70’s? Whatever the average was, I’m sure you’d like to score lower. But there’s one thing that if you don’t understand can stop that, no matter what you try to do technically to improve your golf game. You see… Your brain loves to keep things the same. That’s why golfers have one good nine followed by one bad nine… TO KEEP THEM AT THEIR LEVEL! That’s also why golfers have one bad nine followed by a great one. That’s why golfers will often have a great round going and blow up the ..read more
