PACIFICA (CBS SF/BCN) – Police arrested a San Pedro man suspected of breaking into a convenience store in Pacifica and also trying to burglarize a cannabis retailer over the weekend. Around 1 a.m. Saturday, officers from the Pacifica Police Department responded to a potential burglary at a cannabis retailer in the 2100 block of Palmetto Ave. According to the security company, a man had been trying to enter the business. PACIFICA (CBS SF) — Pacifica police responded to a call from a home on the 1100 block of Valencia Way, saying a mountain lion was in the resident’s yard, eating a chicken. Officers arrived at 7:33 a.m. and spotted the adult cougar on a hillside, approximately 30 yards behind the house, still consuming its meal from the homeowner’s coup. Data released by the agency on Tuesday showed the region’s pavement condition index (PCI) was at 67 out of 100 points for the fifth straight year. PACIFICA (BCN) – Police are searching for a driver suspected in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a bicyclist Sunday night in Pacifica. The collision was reported about 6:50 p.m. along Skyline Boulevard near Sharp Park Road, where the cyclist was headed northbound on the shoulder of the road, Pacifica police said.
