Just when you think that Mortal Kombat 11 (or Mortal Kombat in general) can’t get bloodier, a modder has developed a mod to switch the camera in the to game to a first-person point-of-view (POV). Many of the attacks are cringe-worthy just from the side-scrolling POV, but if you want to see how horrific it is from your fighter’s eyes, now you can. Mortal Kombat modder Ermaccer is the person behind the MK11Hook mod, which was based on the modder’s previous mod for Mortal Kombat X. The MK11Hook mod allows players to adjust game speed, controls, and the camera. With the camera ..read more

Mortal Kombat movie skins added to Mortal Kombat 11

If you’re anything like me, and I apologize if so, then you have very fond memories of the original Mortal Kombat movie from 1995. In an era where films like Double Dragon were the best we were getting from live-action video game adaptations, Mortal Kombat stood head and shoulders above the rest. Mortal Kombat was not ashamed of its source material — in fact, it embraced it. There was much love and attention to detail in the casting, the set design, and most importantly, the fights. All of this made the movie feel like it leaped right out from the arcade. Although the ..read more

Mortal Kombat 11 Mileena trailer breakdown
Daily Esports » Mortal Kombat

Today, we got our first look at Mileena, who might be the final character for Mortal Kombat 11. Mileena is the most fan-requested character in the game and the sister of Kitana herself. Just like in our previous breakdowns of Rambo and Rain, we will go over the trailer and see what information we can get from it. The trailer begins with a cool Easter egg as we see Mileena killing Kitana’s palanquin bearers from her intro. From her voice and her stance, we can see that Mileena is more animalistic and feral than her previous incarnations. This element definitely shows in her gameplay as well. We ..read more

Yesterday we got a brand new trailer for the next DLC character coming to Mortal Kombat 11, Rambo. Voiced by Stallone himself, we got to see what the grizzled vet plays like in the game, and it wasn’t what most were expecting. Just like in our Rain breakdown, we will go over each of the moves shown off in the Mortal Kombat 11 Rambo trailer and take what information we can from it. The trailer starts off with Rambo taking on an unmasked, unscarred Kabal. Right away we see a 3 hit chain that ends in an overhead that causes a knockdown. Then we see what is either a command grab, or some sort ..read more

Cool off with new Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath summer-themed skins

NetherRealm Studios knows that it’s hot outside. That’s why they’re releasing new summer skins for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath! These skins are some of the oddest the studio has released for this franchise—but at the same time, they’re amazing. Featured here are “Off the Bone Baraka,” “Fireworks Erron Black,” and “Endless Summer Kitana.” I’m one hundred percent going to lose it over BBQ Baraka. I don’t like playing as this character at all, but I might have to learn him just for this skin alone. The BBQ brand sticking out of his toolbelt just seals it. All he’s missing is a “Kiss the Cook” em ..read more
