Mortal Kombat 11 has unveiled its first ‘Kombat Pack’ DLC, which includes early access to six new fighters. Those include series mainstays like evil sorcerer Shang Tsung, Native American warrior Nightwolf, and Edenian Queen Sindel. The new trailer also confirms Todd MacFarlane’s Spawn will be returning to Mortal Kombat, and promises two more special guests. One of those is almost certain to be Ash, of Evil Dead and Army of Darkness fame. The trailer provides a pretty clear hint on its own, with the buzz of a chainsaw and splatter of blood over the words “And two more guests.” Taken together wi ..read more

Mortal Kombat 11 fatalities: every fatality and how to do them on PC
PCGamesN » Mortal Kombat
by Iain Harris
1y ago
Mortal Kombat fatalities have been the series’ bread and butter since before the dot-com bubble when this brutal fighting game could only be played in arcades. The morbid finishing move has endured and has come to represent everything people love about the Mortal Kombat series on the whole - they’re bloody, grandiose, and the ultimate sign that you’ve humiliated your adversary in battle. A morbid way to signal the end of the match. To pull off these stark shows of dominance, you’ll first want to whittle your opponent's health bar to zero. Once that’s done, ‘fatality!’ sprawls across the screen ..read more

Mortal Kombat 11 Forge guide: how to craft all recipes in the Krypt
PCGamesN » Mortal Kombat
by Iain Harris

Need a list of all Mortal Kombat 11 Forge recipes? This crafting station is something you’ll stumble across early into exploring the game’s Krypt mode, but you’re not told a great deal about it and what it does. It’s also a pain when the Forge can end up being pretty costly on your Soul Fragments and Hearts. The Forge is used to craft Konsumables that’ll give you an edge against your foes in the Towers of Time and Klassic Tower modes, or help you advance to other areas in the Krypt, so you’re going to want to become an expert on MK11’s Forge. To forge an item, go up to the crafting station and ..read more

Mortal Kombat 11’s 30 fps cap has been lifted for cinematics and the Krypt

May 25, 2019 NetherRealm has pushed out a patch that gives Mortal Kombat 11 players the option to raise the framerate to 60 fps in menus, cinematics, and the Krypt. Certain elements of Mortal Kombat 11 were originally capped at 30 frames per second, meaning you lose the silky smooth 60 fps look during some of its more spectacular moments, such as fatalities and final blows. The areas where Mortal Kombat 11 was capped to 30 fps are the aforementioned animation sequences and Krypt mode, in which you explore a maze-like dungeon in search of chests containing extra loot, new fatalities, and n ..read more

March 20, 2019 Warner Bros. has announced the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie's release date. Coming fresh off the hype from Mortal Kombat 11, it's been confirmed that the long-anticipated reboot of the game's film franchise is about to get underway, and a release date of March 5, 2021 has been set. There’s a game-breaking bug in Mortal Kombat 11’s Krypt

There’s more than devious puzzles lurking in Mortal Kombat 11’s Krypt. A Reddit user has found a game-breaking bug in the gruesome fighting game’s gory labyrinth. The bug involves the Kenshi’s Blindfold item, which helps the player find hidden loot within the Krypt. To use the blindfold you need to spend Soul Fragments but, as some players have discovered, if you try to do so without enough fragments, then the counter goes past zero and into negatives. If this happens, you’re stopped from earning any performance rewards in the Towers of Time, breaking the game. Developer NetherRealm has y ..read more

Play Mortal Kombat 11 at 60fps with this mod

Much of Mortal Kombat 11 - including, crucially, its cutscenes and famously gruesome fatalities - are capped at 30 frames-per-second (fps). If you use an ultrawide monitor, it also burdens you with black side bars on menus and in the Krypt. That no longer needs to happen thanks to a new mod. Creator Endri Lauson says the mod will remove the 30fps cap on MK11's intros, menus, Fatal Blows, Fatalities, and Krypt - and it'll remove those black bars when playing in ultrawide. You can see the results below in Lauson's video (via Reddit), which takes you through the game’s menus and shows o ..read more

Mortal Kombat 11 players will get free currency to deal with Towers of Time
PCGamesN » Mortal Kombat
by Ian Boudreau

Mortal Kombat 11 is a pretty solid fighting game, but players have found certain aspects of it frustrating. Specifically, the Towers of Time mode is punishingly difficult, and without using some of the game’s consumables, it’s nigh impossible to clear certain towers. The problem is, Mortal Kombat 11 is pretty stingy when it comes to doling out its several in-game currencies. Fortunately, NetherRealm has fixes on the way, and in the meantime, players will be receiving some free currency “to help you along your way.” All Mortal Kombat 11 players are getting 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Soul ..read more
