NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) -- Two people have been charged with going into the Colonial Capital Humane Society and stealing a cat, according to the Craven County Sheriff's Office. On Wednesday at around 6:45 p.m., deputies were called to Colonial Capital Humane Society after volunteers realized one of the cats had been stolen. Camera footage led to the discovery of a man and a woman who arrived at the facility. They walked to the building that houses cats and entered the viewing area. NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) -- A New Bern man is facing drug charges after his arrest following the execution of a search warrant. On Friday, officers with the New Bern Police Department along with deputies with the Craven County Sheriff’s Office and NC ALE agents executed a search warrant at 218 D2 Trent Court in New Bern. Officials said they hope to start having flights out of the new terminal by the end of June. NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) -- Three men have been arrested on various charges after New Bern police investigating a shots-fired incident that happened on Wednesday. Police responded just after 5:30 p.m. to a Shot Spotter notification that identified gunfire in the 200 block of Hamilton Drive. Officers also heard the gunfire and responded. New Bern police report Bobby O'Neal Cox died on Wednesday after officials said he was shot on March 28.
