The Cowboys want to get quarterback Dak Prescott inked prior to the March 9th franchise tag deadline, this according to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Last season Prescott made $31.409 million on the franchise tag, but of course he only played three and a half games before breaking his ankle and ending his season. The 27-year-old could look to play under the franchise tag again if for some reason the two sides can’t agree on a deal. Reports say that the tag would pay the quarterback about $37.7 million for the 2021 season. Dallas owner and GM Jerry Jones has been vocal about t ..read more

After a season in which the Cowboys defense was abysmal to watch, ranking last in the league, the team is already thinking about bringing in players to help rebound in 2021. One player the team has spoken about bringing in is five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman, who appeared in just five games last season due to injury. CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker stated that the Cowboys have had internal chats about Sherman, adding him to a defensive backfield that gave up way too many big plays last season. Sherman is 32 years old, so he’s not the long term answer at corner, but right now he would b ..read more
