I was munching on my Thanksgiving dinner last night after many years of spending this time of the year outside of the US when I suddenly realized: Oh crap, Christmas is less than a month away!
It’s crazy how fast time flies by, especially for busy travel lovers like myself who tend to spend every other week in a different place. The realization often hits hard at the end of the year when you remember you have to buy Christmas gifts for all your loved ones. Ouch!
Buying gift for adults, especially for your travel lover friends and family members is anything but an easy task. Sure, you can go fo ..read more

Whether you’re an acclaimed history buff or just an average traveler, there are some archeological sites you should see at all costs. For example, when you travel to Egypt, seeing the Pyramids of Giza is a must, and when in Peru, you should definitely make a trip to Machu Picchu. Well, Iran certainly doesn’t lack such a site, and what we’re talking about is the ancient ruins of Persepolis.
Locally known as Takht-e-Jamshid, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Persepolis houses the largest, most impressive remnants of the Achaemenid Empire that ruled in Eurasia thousands of years ago. This include ..read more

Home to the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, Sindh is one of the cradles of human civilization. The fertile land around the Indus River has been inhabited for millennia and some remains found in the region date back to five thousand years. Since these ancient times, civilization has flourished in Sindh and produced a vibrant local culture with significant Hindu and Muslim cultural influences. Sindhi culture is very colorful and rich in traditions, and most importantly, Sindhi people are the most hospitable people in the world.
I traveled extensively across Sindh province in 2021 and experien ..read more

If I were to choose the most underrated destination in Iran, it would have to be Chabahar. No discussion!
I had the fortune of calling this gorgeous coastal city the first stop of my overland journey across Iran after crossing the Rimdan border from Pakistan and I couldn’t be more grateful! Located along the breathtaking Makran Coast of Balochistan, Chabahar has it all: Tall white cliffs towering over turquoise waves, otherworldly desert landscapes with bubbling mud volcanoes, and of course, the extraordinary cultural heritage of traditional Balochi embroidery. In fact, I enjoyed my time in Ch ..read more

Having traveled to more than 60 countries around the world at the age of 21, I thought I had seen it all. Nothing could no longer surprise me and after having spent nearly a year and a half of my life in Pakistan, culture shocks seemed to be a thing of the past for me – at least that’s what I thought until I stepped foot onto the mysterious tribal areas of Punjab, Pakistan.
The tribal areas of Punjab turned out to be nothing like anything I have ever experienced before. Forgotten or ignored by most, the tribal areas are completely different from the rest of Punjab. Its ..read more

Have you been thinking of a short getaway to the mountains to cool down and recharge your batteries in nature? Why not skip all the overcrowded tourist hotspots in northern Pakistan and spend a weekend in Shogran Valley and explore Siri Paye instead!
Shogran has everything you need for short trip to the mountains: cool weather, wide green meadows, epic mountain views, and relaxing pine forests. It’s like Naran, but less crowded, and Siri Paye is similar to Fairy Meadows, but doesn’t require as much physical fitness.
I visited Shogran back in May 2021 with a bunch of friends from Lahore. They h ..read more

Sunny beaches by the turquoise sea covering colorful coral reefs and ancient world wonders that date back to ver 4,000 years – there’s no doubt that Egypt is one of the countries that everyone should have visited at least once in their lifetime. But while there’s usually nothing but praise coming from the couples and families that toured the country together, it’s a mixed bag for solo female travelers. Some women had the times of their lives while others’ experiences weren’t as rosy. This prompts many women to think:
“Is Egypt safe for solo female travelers?”
I decided to take the risk and emb ..read more
