A woman escaped her kidnapper after being held captive in Adelanto for almost a week, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is looking for the captor. A man and woman from Adelanto face child abuse charges after the man allegedly sexually abused two minors. Carlos Omar Moreno, 37, and Maria Del Carmen Esquivel, 43, were arrested Tuesday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. The final two victims who were among six people found shot to death in the Mojave Desert were identified Friday night. A San Bernardino County man was arrested for allegedly attempting to meet a young girl for sexual purposes. The suspect was identified as Robert Ciauri, 49, from Adelanto, by the Victor Valley Sheriff's Department. Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead after an apparent hit-and-run crash in San Bernardino County.
