A new residential development has been proposed for a 2.51-acre tract of land in Wildwood that has been on the market for several years. The McBride Berra Land Company, LLC, plans to build 18 attached, single-family dwellings to be known as Westridge Commons along New College Avenue between Route 109 and West Avenue. Wildwood takes detour in securing road improvement funding for Route 100 projects

The city of Wildwood intends to pursue funding for improvements along State Route 100, previously recommended by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). According to Rick Brown, director of Public Works, MoDOT recommended the construction of J-Turns at State Route T (St. Albans Road) and Pond Road, in lieu of traffic signals. Wildwood considers pay structure change for council members

Members of Wildwood’s City Council could get paid a sum of $4,800 per year, regardless of whether they attend regular city council meetings. Currently, council members are paid $200 per meeting that they attend. Traffic study for Monarch FPD house relocation falls short of expectations

As part of the requirement for a conditional use permit (CUP), the city of Wildwood required the Monarch Fire District have a traffic study prepared. After a five-year incorporation effort that included rallies at Lafayette High and petitions, the community known today as Wildwood became part of St. Louis County on Sept. 1, 1995. The name “Wildwood” was proposed by residents Debbie and Randy Hauser and then selected by the incorporation committee. A BBQ Fundraiser will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12 at Stovall’s Grove, 18720 Stovall Lane in Wildwood, to benefit Monarch firefighter Maurice Rothermich, who is battling cancer. Wildwood has a lot to celebrate this year. After events and activities were closed down for more than a year due to the coronavirus, Celebrate Wildwood is back in a big way.  Scheduled for Sept. 25, this year’s one-day event will commemorate the city’s 25 + 1 anniversary.
