SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) — A 43-year-old Oakland man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in the hit-and-run death of a Monarch Bay Golf Course worker who was fatally struck while he was riding a lawnmower. SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) — The City of San Leandro said Tuesday it would defend itself against a lawsuit filed by the estate of Steven Taylor, killed by a San Leandro police officer inside a Walmart in 2020. The lawsuit was filed on April 15 and seeks $10 million in damages from the city for the death of Taylor who was shot by Officer Jason Fletcher at the Hesperian Blvd. Walmart on April 18, 2020. FREMONT (CBS SF) – Authorities in the East Bay are searching for a 19-year-old suspect wanted in at least two armed robberies last year. According to a statement from the Fremont Police Department, suspect Joshua Moss-Sanders is wanted for armed robberies in Fremont and San Leandro. He also has a warrant out for his arrest for a parole violation. Police said the robberies took place in August and October of 2021. SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) — Deputies took a man into custody Monday afternoon after he tossed a large rock at a passing motorcycle officer and a second vehicle in San Leandro, the sheriff’s office said. SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) — A late Friday night altercation inside a bar ended in a fatal shooting on a downtown San Leandro street, the city’s first homicide of the year, authorities said.
