I know this year will be very different especially for fellow tier 4 members. But at least you know all the food will be gluten free and you won't have to be the nervous person double checking every food item! Yesterday, my friends and I held a zoom Christmas party where we opened our presents for each other which we had delivered a few days ago. One of my friends kindly gifted me a gluten free Christmas hamper which has prompted me to write this blog post ..read more

Hiya,  So today I thought I would share my thoughts and personal experience/opinion on the current situation regarding free school meals. As someone who has been on free school meals previously and benefited greatly from the scheme, I understand the help it brings to families on tight incomes. However as an Economics student, I can appreciate the limited funds the government currently has. I first started free school meals when I joined secondary school, and benefited from a reduced cost bus pass and had £2.00 given by the government each day to spend on a school meal which was enough to ..read more

Hiya, Each month I want to share my favourite products and new finds that I have been loving so far this month. As you will know the free-from shelves are ever growing and I love the feeling when I find something new in my local supermarket. So far this month I've loved having toast, spread thickly with a spread, for my brunch, whilst sitting in the garden in the morning. Following the gluten free diet has meant that many spreads aren't gluten free so I've had to look for alternatives.  One of my favourite spreads is Marmite which of course you either love or hate. Personally, I LOV ..read more

Hiya, So I know what you're thinking, shouldn't it be hot cross buns but no I haven't made a typo as today I'm going to be sharing my recipe for hot cross biscuits. I'm going to be showing you a recipe that I discovered whilst making hot cross buns. Amid this corona crisis we didn't have any bread flour so I turned to using plain flour and although I didn't get hot cross buns in return; I got hot cross biscuits instead which were a lovely festive treat that went down a storm in my house. Ingredients For the batter: - 350g plain flour (gluten free) - 1.5 tsp quick action yeast - 75g caste ..read more
