The organization will award three $2,500 scholarships for the 2024-25 school year. Applicants must be residents of Douglas, Coos or Lane counties and have the intention to major in a natural resources related field. It will be held on May 16th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on June 1st from 10:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. at the Elkton Community Education Center. April 26, 2024 4:00 a.m.  One driver was hurt following a three-vehicle crash near Glide on Wednesday night. An Oregon State Police report said just after 9:15 p.m. an SUV was traveling eastbound on Highway 138E near milepost 15.5. A pickup was being towed by a large SUV right in front of the first vehicle. That SUV struck the rear of the towed vehicle pushing it into the towing vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center.
