MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa- Twelve local businesses put $20,000 into a new ice rink donated to Marshalltown by the Iowa Wild. The rink celebrated its grand opening on January 17th. But, it was a long time coming. The Director of Marshalltown's Parks and Recreation Department, Geoff Hubbard, said that the Wild originally reached out to the city a few years ago to donate a rink.
