Avra Valley Bridge over the Santa Cruz River START DATE: 4/25/2024 END DATE: 7/19/2024 Borderland Construction, on behalf of Town of Marana, will be starting construction on the Avra Valley bridge over the Santa Cruz River beginning Thursday April 25th, 2024, through Friday July 19th, 2024. MARANA – Marana Water is committed to providing safe, clean drinking water to its customers and is prepared to meet the new PFAS regulations recently passed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on April 10. “We support this historic step toward preserving the health and safety of our community members through quality drinking water,” said Director of Marana Water Department Dr. Jing Luo. The Town of Marana will be holding two public meetings for Dove Mountain residents concerning traffic-related projects. The meetings will be held in the Tortolita Room at the Highlands at Dove Mountain, 4949 W. Heritage Club Boulevard. The first meeting, April 17 at 1 p.m., will be on the new traffic signal being designed for the Dove Mountain Boulevard and Moore Road intersection. Volunteers plant over one-thousand saguaros in Marana

MARANA- Volunteers are breathing new life into the Sonoran Desert by planting hundreds of saguaros in our community. Jason Grodman, Natural Resources Supervisor with Marana Parks & Recreation, says they have planted a total of 1,125 saguaros throughout the El Rio Preserve, Tortolita Preserve and Tortolita Mountain Park. This is a volunteer effort led by the Tucson Audubon Society. Since January 2024, 681 saguaros have been planted so far in the Tortolita Preserve, 410 saguaros planted in Tortolita Mountain Park and 34 in the El Rio Preserve.
