BALTIMORE (WJZ) — An Odenton man is facing a weapons charge after he allegedly tried to bring a loaded handgun onto a flight departing LaGuardia Airport, the Transportation Security Administration said Monday. A TSA officer spotted the 9mm gun, which was loaded with eight bullets, as the man’s belongings passed through an X-ray machine. ODENTON, Md. (WJZ) — Police have a suspect in custody following a shooting Friday less than a half-mile away from an Odenton elementary school. The shooting was reported about 1 p.m. along Hammond Branch Road off Pine Orchard Parkway, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. According to fire officials, a fire broke out around 5:58 p.m. at a Motel 6 in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road. The fire led the roof to collapse on the one-story, vacant building that was previously used as the pool and now used for storage.
