INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday that Gary Jackson Jr. has been sentenced to 61 years for his role in the shooting death of Joan Berry. Jackson was found guilty of murder and habitual offender sentencing enhancement after a three-day trial in April. On April 21, 2021, IMPD officers were dispatched to Riley Children’s Hospital on reports of a person shot. INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Fourteen people were formally charged by the state of Indiana on Friday with a class B misdemeanor for a protest on April 25. The protest called for a cease-fire in Gaza outside the Indiana Governor’s Residence on Meridian Street. Traffic was interrupted for 45 minutes during the morning rush hour. INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A male was found dead on the city’s southwest side on Friday afternoon, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
