SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) — A 16-year-old boy was arrested as the suspect in a shooting in Santa Rosa that left a 15-year-old boy in critical condition, police said Tuesday. The shooting happened Monday at 3:26 p.m. at the intersection of McMinn Avenue and Sunset Avenue, Santa Rosa police said. SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) — A traffic stop in San Rafael led to the arrest of four people Thursday on gun and drug charges, police said. A patrol officer pulled over a car for an illegal window tint at about 11 p.m. in the area of State Farm Drive and Cleveland Avenue. San Rafael police said the officer noticed a strong odor of freshly burnt marijuana and had the four occupants get out of the car to conduct a probably-cause search. San Rafael Police officers were dispatched to Terra Linda High School at 11:51 a.m. to investigate a report of a teacher who was possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. PETALUMA (CBS SF/BCN) – Police arrested a man Wednesday suspected of robbing a gas station in Petaluma moments after he allegedly robbed a second station in San Rafael. A news release from police alleges that 43-year-old William A. Kennedy Jr., of Petaluma, robbed two gas stations. The first incident was on Saturday at a gas station in the 2600 block of Lakeville Highway in Petaluma of cash and lottery tickets. The inmate was found hanging in her solely-occupied cell at about 5:25 a.m. Tuesday. SAN RAFAEL (BCN) — Victims of sexual assault in Marin County have one less hurdle to cross in their quest for justice starting March 1, when nurses specially trained to carry out forensic exams will be on staff at the Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center. SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) — Police in San Rafael have arrested a Sonoma man in connection with a November robbery that led to fraudulent use of a victim’s bank cards.
