Mentor Unemployment Rate Dips to 3.6% in March

The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreased 0.1% to 3.6% for the month of March 2024. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 3.5%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased 0.2% to 4.2% for the month of March; one year prior, it was 4.0%. Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, Mentor has the lowest unemployment rate with 3.6%, Lakewood has the next lowest rate at 3.7%, Cleveland Heights has the third lowest rate with 4.0%, and Columbus has the fourth lowest rate at 4.1%. James A. Garfield National Historic Site’s annual summer season begins Wednesday, May 1 and extends through Thursday, October 31, 2024. The site’s hours for this summer season are as follows: May 1-31: The Visitor Center and grounds—both self-guided—will be open daily, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. On Monday-Friday, public guided tours of the Garfield home will begin at 12 p.m. and be scheduled throughout the afternoon.
