The dawn of short poetry came way before Instagram poetry became an inseparable part of popular culture. Short poetry in the form of limericks, couplet and haiku are well regarded in literature. Hence, here I am with a series of short poems on heartbreak and moving on.
Without following the rigid rules of poetry forms, these poems speak with metaphors and simile. These poetry lines have been written to portray the different hues of emotions that a heart feels in love and betrayal.

Best Fiction Books To Read
The room outside my window is playing on loop the white noise of the rain, and this noise gets me in the creative mood. It is in the monsoons that I can’t think of anything else other than to sit back with a cup of coffee and a good read. So with a lot of apprehension and little convincing, I walk over to my library, and glide my fingers over the numerous book spines, wondering which one to pick. I stand for in front of my modest book s ..read more

Read-0-Meter: 4/5
Genre: Literary Fiction
I continue to remain amazed with the literature I discover, written by Indian writers. Anita Desai‘s Fire on The Mountain is one of those finds and I cannot write enough in its praise. Here’s what the plot looks like and trust me when I say- It underestimates the story.
Plot Summary
Here’s a story about the mountains in Kasauli. This novel follows the story of Nanda Kaul, who leaves her life as the wife of a Vice- Chancellor. She leaves behind an old life to spend her last years secluded in the mountains of Kasauli. She is at peace in the mountains unt ..read more

I loved it! Here is the The Night Circus book review! This may have very mild spoilers (depending on what you consider spoilers).
Read-O-Meter: 4/5
Author: Erin Morgenstern
Plot Summary
Celia Bowen is a born with an innate ability of magic and is chosen by her own father, Hector Bowen to compete against a student of his colleague. It is a magical duel but the premise is rather odd, a circus. The magical duel is played out subtly among normal people, under their noses, right in front of their eyes. But as the game unfolds, the two competitors who are pitted against each other fall in love. How ..read more

Tagore’s poetry in English is an easy 5 out of 5!
Read-O-Meter: 5/5
About the Book
This book materialized when Professor Nemaisadhan Bose, ex-Vice Chancellor of Visvabharati persuaded Ketaki Kushari Dyson to translate the works of Rabindranath Tagore. Today, the profoundness of Tagore’s poetry jn English is relished by a large number of people, who so far have been averse of the Bengali literature.

We love poems and here’s a blog dedicated to the top 5 poetry books you should read. Poetry is for retiring to one’s own solitude and reminiscing in the verses as an anecdote to emotions inexplicable; such emotions that are often lost when translating to words.
Poetry is powerful even in its most simplistic forms. We believe, “one poem a day; keeps incompetence at bay” The more time one spends reading poems; the more one exercises their brain.
We understand the need for diversity and hence, bring to you 5 poetry books you should read.
Don’t be overwhelmed if you are just starting out and confu ..read more
