A cat was rescued after becoming trapped between two brick walls earlier this week, and officials are now trying to track down her owner, the Riverside County Department of Animal Services said Thursday. The feline was discovered in a precarious predicament in the 67100 block of Rando Road on Tuesday morning after a concerned resident called Animal Services to report the cat meowing, according to a news release from the agency. Coachella and Cathedral City officials voted Wednesday to require residents to wear face coverings in certain public settings, joining such other Riverside County cities as Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs and La Quinta. A 73-year-old man who was arrested while living in a Cathedral City storage unit full of child pornography was sentenced Monday to 2-1/2 years in federal prison. Richard L. Arlington pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. Upon his release from prison, he will spend 10 years under supervised probation and will have to register as a sex offender.
