Biden will arrive in the county on Thursday afternoon, April 25, when he is scheduled to appear at a fundraising event in the village of Irvington-on-Hudson hosted by actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and fashion designer Eileen Fisher.

Police are asking for help in locating an 18-year-old Hudson Valley man who was reported missing.
Orange County resident Tyler Rivera was last seen at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the village of Washingtonville on Emerson Drive.
Rivera is considered a vulnerable adult with autism and may be in need of medical attention, according to the Washingtonville Village Police Department.
At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a light gray sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, white sneakers, and was carrying a black backpack.
Police said he may have traveled to Ulster County.

Authorities have confirmed that human remains unearthed on a Hudson Valley construction site are of a young woman who may have been dead for over a decade.
The remains were found in Putnam County on Tuesday, April 16, during excavation work at the property of a new home built in Patterson in the area of Ice Pond Road, according to New York State Police.

A 51-year-old Westchester man faces sex offense charges after asking a young boy to expose himself over a video call several times, police announced.
New Rochelle resident Fernando Rincon was arrested on Wednesday, April 24 following an investigation into several sex offenses involving a young boy, New Rochelle Police announced on Thursday, April 25.
According to the department, Rincon asked a 12-year-old boy to expose his genitalia while video-chatting with him on several occasions.
Rincon was also found with illegal drugs during his arrest, police added.

Firefighters raced to put out a blaze that broke out inside a fried chicken restaurant in Westchester.

Two New York women convicted of non-violent federal drug offenses are among 16 people nationwide to receive clemency from President Joe Biden.
Stacy Wilder, age 49, of Albany, served nearly six years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine in the Northern District of New York in January 2003. She received a full pardon from the president.

An admitted drunk driver is facing years in prison for causing a fatal crash on a Hudson Valley highway that left another person injured.
Nicholle Hoke, age 45, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide in Orange County Court on Wednesday, April 24.
Orange County prosecutors said Hoke, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, was leaving an Ulster County bar in New Paltz on the night of June 24, 2023, when she crashed into another car on Route 9W in Newburgh at around 10 p.m.
