The Westchester County Police Department is mourning the loss of an officer who died from injuries sustained in an off-duty accident. The death of Westchester County Police Officer Alfred R. A school bus carrying students was involved in a crash in Northern Westchester just a short time after beginning its route, officials said. The crash, which happened on Friday afternoon, May 3 in Mount Pleasant, occurred shortly after Bus 4 left the Westlake High School campus in Thornwood.
