Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a Culver’s Restaurant in Fond du Lac. Shortly before 2am Friday firefighters were called to the West Pioneer Road Culver’s to find smoke showing from the roof. Crews were met by a construction company and opened holes in the ceiling to quickly extinguish the fire.  The fire caused smoke and water damage. Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin has called on the United States Department of Agriculture to take immediate action to contain the ongoing avian flu outbreak in dairy cattle.  On Tuesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that the virus has been found in pasteurized milk. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s top official has taken the first steps toward removing a faculty member who was earlier fired from his job as chancellor over his fledgling porn career. Former Chancellor Joe Gow said Wednesday that interim Chancellor Betsy Morgan filed three charges against him in late March. They accuse him of unethical conduct, among other things. Two Beaver Dam residents were arrested for illegal drugs following a traffic stop in Dodge County.   A Dodge County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle in the town of Burnett and observed suspicious behavior from the vehicle occupants.  A sheriff’s K9 search located a significant amount of cocaine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.   Thirty seven year old Alan Douglas Jr. and 33 year old Amy Kompga, both of Beaver Dam face charges of possession of illegal drugs with intent to deliver ..read more

Bail has been set at $100,000 for a former Kewaskum School Resource Officer charged with beastiality in Fond du Lac County.   Steven Rosales of Campbellsport made his initial Fond du Lac Court  appearance Wednesday on three counts of beastiality.  He is accused of having sexual contact  with a pet female Golden Retriever dog.   A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 31.   Rosales is also charged in Washington County with sexual misconduct by a school staff member.   Bail was set at $40,000 cash in that case where he ..read more
