The City of Owensboro has announced the rescheduling of the 2020 Owensboro HydroFair due to the current status of the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally, the event was scheduled for August 15-16, 2020, on the downtown Owensboro riverfront. The event is now planned to be scheduled for September 12-13, 2020. One Killed, Two Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash in Owensboro

Police in Owensboro are investigating after a fatal single-vehicle crash that took place on Friday, July 10. Just before midnight on Friday, the Owensboro Police Department responded to the 4400 block of Medley Rd to a single-vehicle crash with injuries. Police say when they got there, the driver of the vehicle was trapped inside and had to be extracted with assistance from the Owensboro Fire Department. After being extracted from the vehicle, the driver was transported to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where he later died from his injuries. Owensboro Police investigate an early morning shooting that injures a 16-year-old. The shooting took place in the 2400 block of West 10th Street where the teen believed that they had been shot with a firework. Upon further examination, it was determined that they suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg.  The teen was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. UPDATE:  Owensboro Police have identified the victim as 20-year-old Tyler Glover of Owensboro. ORIGINAL: Police in Owensboro are investigating a shooting incident that happened overnight. Just after midnight on Friday, the Owensboro Police Department (OPD) responded to the 1800 block of W 7th St. on a report of a shooting incident. An Owensboro man has been arrested and charged with murder. Owensboro Police said that they have arrested 31-year-old Christopher Clements for the shooting death of 49-year-old Dustin Walker. According to police, on June 28th, Walker was found inside a home on Hanning Lane in Owensboro with a gunshot wound.  He was taken to the hospital where he later passed away from his injuries. One of Owensboro’s “Healthy at Home” Fireworks display locations will now be moved due to its proximity to the Owensboro Humane Society.
