The 73-year-old woman killed in an explosion at a New Jersey manufacturing plant is being remembered in her obituary is a longtime employee, avid pool player, and great-grandmother. Eileen, of South River, was killed on Wednesday, May 1, at the site of the Superior Signal Explosion in Old Bridge, as previously reported by Daily Voice. The victims of the Thursday, May 2 home explosion in South River have been identified as a father and son, both former and current police officers. Kevin Gilbert, a 26-year veteran of the Newark Police Department, died in the mysterious explosion around 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, South River Mayor Peter Guindi tells Daily Voice.
