Let’s talk #COVID, return to school and the impact of the global pandemic on families. No one was spared impact as the world shut down, however studies are revealing that women have been disproportionately impacted which is leaving us on a slippery slope, risking the undoing of years of work in the gender equality space. A few days ago a woman said to me, “women are just born evil”. It stopped me in my tracks. Not because I couldn't believe what I was hearing, but rather because it wasn’t the first time I had heard it, and certainly not the first time I had heard it from another woman. Despite the valiant efforts of women and men before us, the concept of “the broken rung” still exists.
